As darkness falls across there land, there’s no better time to grab YOUR little monsters and join us for the ultimate Halloween party.

This October half-term, The Monster Club invites the boys and girls of Norfolk to experience a Fang-tastic fusion of live music and live performance. Enter our ‘Haunted Big Top’ in the grounds of Wensum Valley Hotel, Taverham, for 75 minutes of frightful fun as “The Dead Ringers” our house band, get toes tapping on the other side. Be captivated by the Monster Club dancers and spellbound by our Spook-tacular Circus Stars, before meeting Friedrich Fright, the Ghost Host with the Most, bringing your favourite spooky stories to life with a spirited blend of comedy, creepiness and companionship.

FAQs

The Monster Club is a Unique Halloween Cabaret, an entertaining fusion of live music, dancing, circus and comedy. Once you enter The Monster Club you will be guided to your socially distanced seating area upon arrival and shown how to use the one way system to access our food and drink station and toilets. These will both be available throughout the performance. The show incorporates live music playing halloween hits, immersive circus artists, interactive comedy and spooky party dancing.
The show is directed towards the family audience and is ‘spooky’ rather than ‘scary – with nothing made to shock you – we will be careful in keeping it lighthearted and fun. The venue may be darker at times, but nothing in the show will be set to deliberately scare anyone.

The entire show is interactive and guests are encourage to join in along the way, but no one will be asked up on stage at any point during the performance, everything will be Covid Secure and Socially Distanced. Audience members will be able to ‘dance’ along from their seated areas.

Seating is a mix of cabaret tables; of which there are 6 seats around 1 table, you will be allocated a table number when you arrive. This means that when booking a table you are purchasing 6 seats. Alternatively you can purchase general admission tickets in groups of up to 6 people, your seats will be allocated upon arrival according to party size – Please note we will not admit any party of more than 6 people – There will be 1m between all groups. This is how we can ensure the performance remains COVID-SAFE and socially distant.
The Monster Club at Wensum Valley Hotel has plenty of onsite parking. Following SatNav or The Monster Clubs directional signs will guide you straight to the car park.
Yes we are able to accommodate anyone with mobility issues. Wheelchair parties will be guided directly into The Monster Club and seats will be allocated according to their requirements.

The show runs at approximately 1hr15mins including an interval. We ask that all guests arrive at least 10 minutes before the performance.

Yes, we have a bar operating throughout the performance. PLEASE NOTE WE DO OPERATE A CHALLENGE 25 POLICY IN OUR VENUE.
Snacks will be readily available through out the performance, such as Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Sweets and Treats. We don’t allow outside food inside the venue unless there is a special arrangement due to medical needs (please contact us if you have requirements regarding this).
The Monster Club uses flashing lights and short strobe effects directed only to the stage and the performing artists.
Face Coverings will be required when entering, leaving and moving around the Big Top. We will also require you to wear a Face Covering when approaching the Bar, Food Service Areas and when Accessing the Toilets. Face Coverings are not required once seated however you are free to wear your Face Coverings if you would prefer to do so. If you are Medically Exempt from wearing Face Coverings please make this known to us on arrival and understand it is our job to ask you to wear them and we may not be immediately aware of your exemption.
We are working closely alongside the Government Guidelines and will continue to adapt around any new rules and requirements to make sure the show can safely go ahead. If for any reason new announcements mean the show will not be able to go ahead on the advice from the Government, we have a Covid Guarantee meaning you will receive a full refund on any tickets purchased.
